Took our first trip with the City of Smiles, Bacolod, to visit Mama-ita. This was going to be a fun trip with Joey, Vicky and Liam.
Prayed for good weather and safe trip, thank God, we got it!
We assembled at the store about an hour before the 11:30 trip. Dani and Liam had fun and were in good spirits before the trip.
Mama-ita fetched us at the pier and took us to Inaka for a wonderful and over ordered lunch. That was also their first misono experience. Although they both didn't care much for it.
The weather was nice so after our naps, we took a walk to the club house and the kids played a bit in the playground before mosquitos got in the way.
The next 2 days were pretty rainy so we didn't get to do much but go around SM Bacolod.
Dani enjoyed it because of the ice cream and popcorn I bought. Liam was a bit cranky. Poor little man.
The kids and the Jennies hung out at the house that afternoon. It was still pretty rainy but the breeze was delightful. It was so nice to see both kids getting along so well with each other. Pretty proud of Dani for taking such extra care with Liam, even feeding him her crackers and sharing her things. Makes me happy that she is starting out so well.
We had dinner at Wara-Wara the first night. Not exactly child friendly and a bit confusing with the ordering. The second night was better with a trip to the institution that is Bob's. Like so many kids that came before her, Dani loved the sate babi. My personal favorite as well aside from their mongolian barbecue.
Still a rainy Saturday but we were all excited for the dinner with the cousins. It was Dani's chance to get to bond with Breeana this time. All 3 kids got along nicely. Liam got a bit sleepy though. He was the only guy among the girls.
What most touched me on this trip was seeing my mom with Dani. We never had a very ideal mother-daughter relationship. But I choose to be open to new beginnings. Hoping that with Dani, things will be different. We can never get back what we lost or has been done, but its God's will to look forward.
Dani has given my life so much promise. She has touched lives the way I never could and she's barely 2. God is good and always has a wonderful plan for all of us. Big and small, He uses them for their glory.
