Christmas Memory

This is definitely one of my favorite Christmas songs of all time. Not just for the words or the melody, but the memories it brings of your great grandparents. They raised me with the classics and this song from the movie, "Meet Me in St. Louis" is one to look out for. Hope I get to watch this with you someday. Make our own memories along the way.

Your first picture

Your dad and I went to get an ultrasound yesterday and we got to see you for the very first time. I could see your little heart beat. The doctor also made us listen in and your heart was beating so strongly! We could see a bit of our hands and the umbilical cord.

The doctor said you were in an inverted position right now but nothing for me to worry about. You will most likely be moving about more in the next few months and may just right yourself in time.

As your Wuwu said, it is indeed a miracle to see you at this stage so early on. Its amazing how technology can be nowadays. Such a blessing!

Praying you keep growing strong and looking for a name for you already. I have a few lined up but will have to ask your dad's opinion about them soon.

For now, after seeing your ultrasound picture via mms, your Tito Joey has started to call you the little "kasoy" or cashew nut. My little kasoy :)

Hitting the books

I have to admit, since getting out of college and immersing myself with work, my bookworm self has taken a back seat. But thanks to you, my dear, I'm back and I'm studying like there is no tomorrow.

Enjoying the books people recommending me to read. So many wonderful things about how you're developing and how I can make things better for the both of us. I actually bought the set, minus one which is out of stock.

People have begun to find out about you and are so excited. Warms my heart to know that people actually are looking forward to you and are already singing their praises. I know that you will be so beautiful. Ma hisa sila!

Mommy's trying to be good these days with the food she eats, the places she goes and how she reacts. But I have to be honest, my back hurts a bit after I sit for a while. I'm incredibly more sleepy (thought that wasn't possible) and I get so agitated easily. Your Dad has been the best. He's been extra lambing and affectionate with me even with a grumpy look on my face. That's your dad.

So far, I thank God, I don't have morning sickness or excessive cravings. Basically the same feelings and habits thus far.

Oct. 21, 2010...

With the help of your Tita Lesley and Tita San2, I found a really good doctor to help us on our way. Her name is Dr. Abelita. She is a really nice lady who helped both of your Titas. With your Tita Lesley being pregnant again, we decided to go together. With your Dad, of course. Your Tita Lesley is always such a joy to be with and I'm just glad that I have a friend as close as her helping me and showing me the ropes. She is already 5 months in and got to hear the heartbeat of the baby inside of her. I'm looking forward to hearing yours, my baby. But I will still have to wait a few months.

I spent some time looking for girl and boy names on the internet. I want your name to be special and full of meaning. At the same time, remind you of what you stand for and where you come from. From the One who made all this possible. Always remember that, my precious one. I pray that you will live up to the name we choose and do more than we can ever hope to imagine.

Got a lot of medicine to build up my strength and help you grow properly. Apparently, I have to give up a lot of things I love for you. But its okay. Its a price thats worth taking. I don't want to make the same mistakes your Lola Jane made before.

But one good thing about all the things I'm taking, the doctor prescribed Anmum. Anmum actually has other flavors so its going to be fun trying them all out!

Your dad is so excited. He actually carries my things again! Haha! So thank you :)

Today I learned that there are just people who fail to reach your expectations and at the same time try to bring you down to their level. Always remember that there are more important things in life and one should always see beyond the obvious.

Hello Little One...

Found out about you on October 19, 2010, Tuesday at 10pm. Your Dad and I just had dinner and I knew I had to take the pregnancy test afterwards. I had a feeling that something was different. Things were not the same somehow.

I used the pregnancy test your Tita Lesley gave me which she used herself. More like a pregnancy test for dummies since it wasn't the usual 1 line or 2 kind. It would say specifically pregnant or not pregnant.

When the indicator showed "pregnant", I was so happy. I couldn't believe it. Instinctively, I called your Wuwu Pepot. I call him Wuwu this early because he has been so looking forward to you from the very beginning. He already knew what he wanted you to call him. He got it from the tv show he used to watch, "Agua Bendita".

Just as I was talking to your Wuwu, your dad finally came up from his usual nightly work time. He was so happy. He actually took pictures of the test!

We soon called your Lola Jane who was sound asleep at the time already. She sleeps at 7:30-8pm!

Finally we went downstairs and told your Lola Remy. Shortly after Lolo Seb came home from his meeting and we told him then. Poor Lolo, he didn't hear the first time. We had to repeat the news. But your Lola Remy was the most excited of all, I think. She has been worrying ever since.

I tell you this because I want you to know how much you are loved and anticipated. I remember already praying for you when I was younger and didn't even have a boyfriend then. Wondering what you would look like. Would you be like me or your father? Hoping you would love and serve the Lord more than I ever could.

So here I start an online scrapbook for you. That someday you would read this and know how much we love you.
